Eid Announcement (09/01/2010):

Eid-ul-Fitr inshallah will fall either on Thursday September 9th or Friday September 10th. We will announce the exact date on the evening of Wednesday September 8th.

Eid prayers will start at 9:30 am with Takbeerat starting at 9:00 am. The community celebrations will take place on the very day the Eid will fall. Eid prayers and celebrations will be held in Riceville Community Center. More details will posted in next couple of days

General Information:

Assalaam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters, welcome to the website of the Islamic Center of Asheville, located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Please be patient as we are currently developing our website. For those visiting we meet for Isha prayers every night, and Jummah every Fri at 1:30 to 2:00.  Meals are occasionally served by the sisters after Jummah. There is also a Saturday school for Kids between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

Wednesdays: Quran Translation and Tafsser. Between Maghrib and Isha

Thursday: Islamic education class specifically for sister. 6:00 pm

Friday: Islamic education class for Adults,  Between Maghrib and Isha

Saturday: Arabic and basic Islamic education classes for Kids (or beginners). 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
